The Bay Chronicle - - FRONT PAGE - STAFF REPORTER

Get your skates on book lovers, there’s a world of second hand books up for grabs at the annual Waipapa Rotary Book Fair.

Rotarian Geoff Tilley says there are literally thousands of books for sale, which means there will be something for everyone.

There’s even a book on 1925 British Dominions Exams in Theory of Music, Pianoforte and Elocution, he says.

‘‘You would be absolutely amazed at the huge breadth of titles we get donated’’.

This year’s book fair is at Bay Sports, Harmony Lane Waipapa on August 4 from 2-8pm and August 5 from 9am-2pm.

There are fiction and nonfictionbooks on just about every subject you can imagine, Tilley says, in foreign languages, technical and pictorial, fiction by the thousands and a massive collection of books for children.

‘‘Many people spend hours rummaging through the books looking for that special book whilst others just can’t resist and end up buying armfuls to keep their bookworm at bay,’’ he says.

‘‘At just $3 per book and only $1 per book for children’s books it’s time to keep the whole family happy and reading through the winter.’’

All proceeds from the book sales go towards Waipapa Rotary’s community projects.
