Kennards Hire has wrapped up its annual Kennards for Kids charity initiative, with $45,000 raised for KidsCan to support disadvantaged children across New Zealand, and more than $550,000 earmarked for a host of other charitable organisations. The donation to KidsCan will directly help with programmes to support hundreds of children gain access to education.

KidsCan chief executive and founder Julie Chapman, says,

‘‘We believe that education equals opportunity and that every child, regardless of their social economic background, should have an equal chance to get a good education. Sadly, this isn’t the case for the 1 in 4 New Zealand children living in hardship.’’
