Steve Williams has been persuaded out of retirement to once again caddy for Australian Adam Scott. In a statement to media, Scott said: “Steve was adamant that he was not going to caddy in 2015, so he took some convincing, but I am very happy he’s agreed to help out. We’ve had great success together, so I’m looking forward to being on the links with Steve again.”

Williams and Scott parted amicably at the end of last season when the caddy decided he no longer wanted to work full-time. Scott replaced Williams with Zimbabwean Mike Kerr. But the partnership has not been successful, Scott having had only one top 10 finish this year.

Williams will caddy for Scott at this month’s US Open, followed by the Open Championship, the PGA Championship and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
