The Everglades Country Golf Club in Christchurch now has
two courses, its existing Red course and a new Purple course, designed on the old QE11 layout. The Purple course is suitable for all golfers and guarantees players a fun day out. Before the earthquakes, QE11 was a popular spot and the club hopes to attract
those people back. The club is proud it has addressed two main reasons golf clubs are struggling — cost and time. The green fees are
$10 (9 holes) and $20 (18 holes). The par 72, 3270m 18-hole course takes, on average, 2hr 30m to play
and 1hr 15m for nine holes.
