Golf tourism on the rise

The rapidly grow­ing in­ter­na­tional golf tourism mar­ket is bring­ing benefits to New Zealand, and par­tic­u­larly to the south­ern re­gion where The Hills, Mill­brook and Jack’s Point lead the way.

Golf Tourism NZ ex­ec­u­tive direc­tor Ryan Bran­de­burg said the golf mar­ket “had grown na­tion­ally from $145 mil­lion in 2012 to $221 mil­lion in 2013, a 53 per cent in­crease.”
