Hill positive for future

The Cut - - NZ OPEN 2016 -

Sir Michael Hill is looking forward to again hosting the NZ Open, saying, “This will be our fifth year underwriting it, and while it is a huge investment which involves a significant cost each year we see it as an important part of the future for New Zealand golf and tourism. Golfers are a major asset for the tourism industry because of what they contribute in the way of longer stays and significant spending power.”

Of the course, Hill said: “It is in great condition, especially considering the harsh winter. The fairways, greens and bunkers are in pristine order.

“The course is a tribute to our greenkeeping team. We are always striving to be better and improve our rating as the best presented course in New Zealand. Nothing less than world-class will do.”
