THE BACKGROUND

The Cut - - PLAY BETTER GOLF -

One thing I’ve learnt is that understanding course management is essential to squeezing the most out of your scoring potential, regardless of whether your handicap is 36 or 3.6. However, for the club golfer it’s probably the least utilised quality in the whole game.

Personally, I’ve never been a particularly aggressive player. I don’t gamble unless the odds are in my favour, and knowing when to take a risk is a crucial part of avoiding big numbers. I’ve always felt like my course management was one of the strongest parts of my game, and when you know what to look for, it can be really easy.
