Significant changes to the bunkering are taking place at the resort course of Terrace Downs in the South Island.
Among the changes, the bunker on the par-4 third hole at the left front of the green has been shrunk and reshaped to provide wind protection. A greenside bunker on the 11th hole has been replaced by a mound while on 12 two small pothole bunkers are set to be reinvented as grass bunkers.
The 15th sports a notoriously deep and long bunker 30 metres short of the green. It is being filled in and the area re-landscaped. Two bunkers on the 17th have been removed and a collection bunker 60m short of the 18th green has also been filled.
