First, a different job; about four months into this challenge I went from a job where I was able to get home at 4pm every day and hit the practice ground for a couple of hours to a CBD commute where I get stuck in rush hour traffic and am home by six o’clock, if I’m lucky.

This really ate into my practise time during the week. But on the bright side, it has taught me how to practice properly. Simply smashing ball after ball at the driving range is not the answer to improving your scores.

What I learned, and what separates a good player from a great player, is your short game.
