Key gives a nod to Turnbull ahead of Saturday’s election

The Dominion Post - - Politics-News -

Prime Minister John Key has given his tacit backing to Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull ahead of the country’s election on Saturday. Turnbull will seek to hold off the challenge of Labor leader Bill Shorten, and Key said he had been in touch with the Liberal PM via text leading up to the election. ‘‘I know Malcolm well, they’re our sister party. I don’t think there’s too many guesses who I like and who I’d like to see win [but] the Australian public will decide.’’
