Two years ago, in a let­ter, I ex­pressed some of the same sen­ti­ments as Mark Rea­son (TV cov­er­age just isn’t tick­ing the right boxes, June 27).

Back then, Sky tele­vi­sion had six (no doubt very well-paid) pre­sen­ters each giv­ing their tup­pence worth on the All Blacks. Now they have nine.

Is there any won­der sports lovers are tak­ing their cus­tom else­where?

Rea­son’s com­ments about stupid in­ter­views at half-time cer­tainly rang true as Is­rael Dagg could hardly say a word be­fore catch­ing his breath last week­end.
