Hamblin up for award

New Zealand runner Nikki Hamblin’s act of sportsmanship during the 5000m heats at last year’s Rio Olympics continues to gain international acclaim.

Hamblin and American Abbey D’Agostino have been nominated for the new Best Sporting Moment of the Year category at the Laureus Awards.

Hamblin is also a finalist for favourite sporting moment at New Zealand’s Halberg Awards for the same gesture.
