Way readied for Huo to join Labour ranks if Ardern wins

-

Former MP Raymond Huo is set to return to Parliament if Jacinda Ardern wins the Mt Albert by-election and quits as a list MP. Former Labour president Maryan Street, who is next on the party’s list, has confirmed she will not take up the option. Late last year, Moana Mackey – next in line after Street – also opted out. Huo brings diversity to a caucus devoid of MPs of Asian ethnicity. Street aims to focus on her End Of Life Choice campaign to allow assisted dying.
