Peterson inducted

Doug Peterson, one of the leading brains behind Team New Zealand’s breakthrough yacht Black Magic, is being inducted into the America’s Cup Hall of Fame. Peterson will join fellow American John Marshall and Australian Syd Fisher as the three inductees to be confirmed at a ceremony in San Diego in October. Peterson, a twotime winner of the America’s Cup, was a key member of the design teams for America3 (winner in 1992), Team New Zealand (winner in 1995), and Prada Challenge (2000 and 2003). NZL32, dubbed Black Magic, and her sister ship NZL38, completely dominated the 1995 regatta in San Diego where Team New Zealand finally won the Auld Mug.
