Meth drug busts

-

Eleven people were also arrested in Wairarapa yesterday after police targeted a methamphetamine operation in Masterton.

More than 50 officers executed 10 search warrants, arresting people ranging in age from their late teens to late 50s.

Police said they were all ‘‘closely’’ associated. They face 100 charges, including class A drug dealing, money laundering, participating in an organised criminal group, and other drugs charges.

Acting Wairarapa commander Inspector Scott Miller said planning for the raids, known as Operation Sweden, began about six months ago. Cash and vehicles were also recovered.
