Shane Jones off to Australia to look at PPPs

The Dominion Post - - Politics -

Infrastructure Minister Shane Jones is off to Australia to see how they draw in private funding for their large infrastructure projects. While the Government has ruled out Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for schools, hospitals, and prisons, they are ‘‘open for business’’ for private investment in roads and other large infrastructure. Jones will visit Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. He’s a fan of a ‘‘one-stop shop’’ website for private business to see what projects are in the pipeline.
