There are plenty of special spots scattered through the Catlins, but the four showcased here tick many boxes, including offering great vistas for perfect photo opportunities, or just being top-quality places to sit and bask in nature’s glory. On a perfect weather day the stillness and tranquillity of these places is all-enveloping, but even if conditions are less than favourable, there’s still so much to relish in experiencing nature’s raw energy.
