Catlins Dol­phin Dip fundraiser at the bay

Catlins peo­ple showed the lengths they’re pre­pared to go, to get their com­mu­nity swim­ming pool re-roofed and back in ac­tion, with 88 hardy souls brav­ing po­lar tem­per­a­tures at Por­poise Bay, for the in­au­gu­ral mid­win­ter Dip With The Dol­phins. This is just the start of a $40,000 fundrais­ing ef­fort to pay for the Toe Toes Swim­ming Pool re­vamp at Tokanui, the only pool in rea­son­able cooee of this re­mote south­ern com­mu­nity. Clutha Leader reporter MARY-JO TOHILL got amongst the goose-bump­ing ac­tion.
