Big weekends push build along
One of the huge weekends, last weekend.
More than 20 tradesmen worked over the weekend to really push the build along.
The exterior cladding was fitted, Plyclad from Gunnersens, to two walls, and Niagara wooden weatherboard to the other two walls. These are two absolutely premium products, which have not just enhanced the appearance of the home, but have given it fantastic durability.
Some of the windows, supplied by Design Windows have been fitted. These are the Klima range of uPVC windows, which are absolutely top specification, again.
You really need to check these out – there is an interview on facebook (@helicopterhousebuild) with the local design windows team about the advantages – especially the cutting edge double glazing and thermal properties.
We even had a celebrity here. Nick Matthews from ITAB, who is one of the Building Apprentice Industry representatives gave us a weekend of his time – just awesome.
Lunch was a very special occasion on Saturday too – a full-on, sit-down, roast lunch, catered by Damien Richards and the wonderful people at the Stables, in Richmond.
Lovely meal – which the boys absolutely lapped up, and worked hard to burn off, in the afternoon.
Sunday was a treat, too, with one of our team, Deb, making just the best afternoon tea for all the guys on site.
We’ve got to keep these guys strength up – there is still a way to go, but we are on target, and the house is coming together superbly.
You are welcome anytime to come down for a look.
Next weekend, we are lining the inside.
Stopping for afternoon tea on site.
