The Napier Mail - - WHAT’S ON -

National

I look on the problems facing the electorate from a positive mindset. Martin Luther King did not say ‘‘I had a nightmare’’. Every problem provides an opportunity to improve the lives of as many people as possible.

We have come a long way from 10 years ago. We live in a region that is moving forward, increasingly confident and vibrant.

Napier has not had an effective voice. Houses, social and private are being built around New Zealand but Napier is missing out. It shouldn’t be. There is a difference between rhetoric and action.

Your MP should be focused on getting Napier’s voice heard in Wellington, not in the local papers.

We need infrastructure to deal with increasing port traffic, housing accords for new housing and better protection of our water supply to get rid of chlorination.

These things can be achieved. We have a Government committed to building infrastructure and growing our regional economy, not taxing it.

With an effective voice in Parliament we can get what we need to keep Napier forging ahead.
