Tune in to Maori TV on Wed­nes­day (May 2) for Hangi Pit Masters – the ul­ti­mate hāngi chal­lenge, en­list­ing some of the best chefs in Aotearoa and task­ing them to add their ex­per­tise, tastes and tech­niques to a tra­di­tional Māori hāngi. Com­peti­tors in­clud­ing Kyle Street, Karena and Kasey Bird, Ben Bayly, Ser­gio Maglione and Juan Bul­sani each have a clear dif­fer­ence in ex­per­tise, with only one com­ing out as the ‘Hāngi Pit Master’.
