Kiwi starts fast

New Zealand Supercars driver Scott McLaughlin has made a promising start with DJR Team Penske by setting the second fastest time at the Supercars test day in Sydney. McLaughlin, in his first serious drive with the Ford outfit since his offseason move from Volvo, clocked 1m 28.7875s, 0.1s slower than Nissan’s Rick Kelly. McLaughlin’s Kiwi teammate Fabian Coulthard was third fastest and defending series champion Shane van Gisbergen set the fifth fastest time.
