Roosters win again

-

The Sydney Roosters maintained their winning start to the NRL season with a straightforward 20-6 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs last night. The Roosters are top of the table with four wins from four, after finishing second-to-last in 2016 with just six victories the entire season. Two early converted tries paved the way last night, with Latrell Mitchell touching down for the first after five minutes and Michael Gordon scoring the second after 12 minutes, with the Roosters leading 14-0 at the break. Sitiveni Moceidreke gave Souths hope with a try 10 minutes after halftime but Daniel Tupou restored the 14-point margin six minutes later, and Gordon’s fourth successful kick to convert the try ended the scoring.
