Unbeaten New Zealand stakes winner Qiji Phoenix will strip at the top of his game for Saturday’s group two BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Eagle Farm. “He does everything spot on,” said Donna Logan, who trains in partnership with Chris Gibbs. “He has worked a treat. He couldn’t be doing any better – he’s the real deal.” Drawn the horror gate of 23, Qiji Phoenix will be ridden by Leith Innes, who has been aboard the two-year-old in all three of his wins, including the Champagne Stakes at Ellerslie.
