Evidence NZ is in trouble

The New Zealand Herald - - EDITORIAL & LETTERS -

John Roughan’s paternalistic advice, vote conservative like Uncle John, smacks of the continuing scaremongering that is being pushed by National’s campaigners.

This method of attack and its clique belittle the extent of the problems that “have nots” endure. The families that cannot put food on the table for a full week, whose rents and bills exhaust their less than liveable incomes are the evidence that New Zealand is in trouble. I have appreciated reading the Herald’s genuine investigative stories that expose the depths of the issues but let’s not see Granny Herald’s archaic self re-emerge, on the cusp of the election.
