On cameras

The New Zealand Herald - - EDITORIAL & LETTERS -

I thought speed cameras were the Treasury’s way of regulating shortfalls in the economy? Surely a speed camera earns far more than it costs to run? Even a humble sign saying, “Speed camera sees you” gives a gentle reminder to most would-be racing car drivers to get foot off pedal?

Rob Buchanan, Kerikeri.

I wonder how many potentially life-saving speed cameras could have been installed if Key had not wasted taxpayers’ money on the abortive flag referendum?

Jeanette Grant, Mt Eden.
