The Northland Age - - Front Page -

‘Price war’ might be a bit of an exaggeration, but for a couple of days last week Kaita¯ia motorists experienced a token competition between its service stations. Mobil and Z, and BP in Awanui, were selling 91 octane petrol at 225.9 cents, while BP in Kaita¯ia was a cent dearer. They had all settled on 225.9 by the end of the week, but yesterday Kaita¯ia BP and Z had plummeted to 223.9. At Whatuwhiwhi yesterday it was 217.9 cents.
