The Northland Age - - Opinion -

Just amazing what the (Daffodil Day) area co-ordinators have managed to do in Kaitaia. It’s unbelievable. What an amazing team, in conjunction with your local ANZ. $31,026.74, just amazing and so fabulicious!

Far North REAP and the Cancer Society Northland would like to thank you all for your enthusiasm, fundraising efforts and mahi to arrive at such an amazing result. These funds are made up of the amazing baby photo competition, trivia and auction night, Te Hiku Hauora Thursday sausage sizzle and cupcakes and guess the staff baby photo, the Friday street collection, the blue donation boxes, fresh daffodil sales in Awanui and the Thursday collection at Pak’nSave.

Paint the Town Yellow for businesses was successful too (the most participants ever), which created a great atmosphere. The independent judges voted Shackleton’s Chemist the overall winner. They received a $100 signwriting voucher sponsored by Signs of Life.

Without you we would not be able to provide the core services which are essential for cancer patients and their wha¯ nau — thank you to Lisa Jones, Tonya McCreedy-Pene and Hinemoa from Far North REAP.

Kia pai to ra
