Technical Roadshow encourages knowledge sharing
This week-long travelling tour brings new products and new ideas to the industry through a seminarstyle event including product displays and relaxed networking. It’s free, inclusive and informative, with a focus on hot industry topics that affect all play
BITZER’s Technical Roadshow is back this July. As well as regular presentations on new product developments, the 2017 event sees industry luminaries Michael Bennett, John Bowen and John McCormack join the BITZER team for what promises to be an informative, well-rounded afternoon.
With a focus on precision cooling and natural refrigerants throughout all aspects of the cold chain, this event is particularly relevant to New Zealand’s fresh produce sector. Attendees will hear about the global HFC phasedown and what it means locally, as well as learning about how to save energy with highly efficient refrigeration equipment.
The event will be held in the first week of July, with the Auckland show at the Waipuna Conference Centre on July 6, following the Sydney and Melbourne events. With limited tickets for each event the industry is encouraged to act quickly to reserve seats.
This year’s theme of ‘bridging the gap’ is all about BITZER’s responsive design and development in light of the ever-changing refrigerant landscape. Speakers will address industry trends locally and internationally, along with BITZER’s research and development strategies to create cooling equipment that adequately meets the requirements of new legislation and looming changes.
The highlight of BITZER’s Roadshow this year will be a Q&A style session featuring prominent industry figures Michael Bennett, general manager of Refrigerant Reclaim Australia; John Bowen, director of Refrigerant Recovery NZ; John McCormack, co-owner of Sythree and former director of Chemours Chemicals and Fluoroproducts in Australia; as well as BITZER’s own Rainer Große-Kracht, chief technology officer.
Marketing and business development manager René Le Miere feels the addition of this new panel session will make the 2017 Technical Roadshow a well-rounded event.
“We’ve always aimed to make the Roadshow reflective of both BITZER and the wider industry.
“In particular, this year we’re reaching out to encourage trainees and apprentices to come along. This isn’t an elitist event – the whole idea is to bring all levels of our industry together and learn from each other. It’s an afternoon to learn something new, catch up with colleagues over a coffee, check out displays from some of our key suppliers, and with the addition of the interactive Q&A panel, get involved in the conversation.”
