Have your say on NZCGI strategic plan

It has been 20 years since New Zealand Citrus Growers last developed a strategic plan and chair Rick Curtis is hoping to see a wide range of input into a new one.

The Orchardist - - Conference 2017 -

“A clear plan is needed so we know just what direction we are taking on behalf of growers,” Curtis told this year’s NZCGI conference in Gisborne.

Research to help develop the plan will be carried out over the next few months by rural marketing agency Tracta.

“We really need your input and feedback to make sure the resulting strategy is the best it can be,” he said. “If you, the growers, make the effort to participate then we will get a really good result.”

IN THE INDUSTRY: Orange and tangelo product group chair Wayne Hall and NZCGI chair Rick Curtis say growers will get the best out of their industry if they engage with what their governing body has to offer.
