Broncolor range of Softboxes and Octaboxes

The Photographer's Mail - - Sponsored Feature -

The new Broncolor Softboxes and Octaboxes are optimized light shapers for precise lighting control, and come in nine different shapes — square, rectangular, octagonal, or as a strip. Drawing upon Broncolor’s esteemed Swiss-quality standard, these high-performance light shapers each have their own distinct effect on light distribution and output — allowing for an extensive range of lighting effects. Plus, they’re much easier to construct and dismantle than their predecessors thanks to new colour markings on their pre-assembled tensioning rods and support ring.

Broncolor’s smallest Softbox, the 35x60cm, is only slightly larger than a standard reflector. Its light output is, of course, scattered, but due to its compact dimensions, isn’t overly soft. The 150cm Octabox provides homogenous illumination, and is particularly desirable for classic portraits as it produces rounded reflections in the eyes. Broncolor’s largest Softbox, the 120x180cm, offers a mammoth two square metres of light, illuminating the whole body uniformly. Finally, Broncolor’s striplights, available in 30x120cm and 30x180cm variants, are perfect for illuminating edges in product photography, or as a hair light for striking fashion shots.
