Bad Kiwi driv­ers

In re­sponse to the ar­ti­cle ‘‘Driv­ing test for for­eign driv­ers’’ (Feb 15), it is un­der­stand­able that peo­ple af­fected by a tragic road ac­ci­dent that in­volves a tourist should call for ac­tion.

But doesn’t the num­ber of road ac­ci­dents sug­gest that all Ki­wis should re­peat their driv­ing test?

At least in Christchurch, I’m ap­palled by how many driv­ers run red lights. Those are ac­ci­dents wait­ing to hap­pen.

Many driv­ers demon­strate they do not know when to use their in­di­ca­tor or how to nav­i­gate a round­about. Peter Moeller Avon­head
