A title fit for a chief in works for Prime Minister

Prime Minister Bill English is set to join the long list of New Zealand political figures to be granted a Samoan chiefly title during his three-day visit to Samoa this week for the country’s 55th Independen­ce Day celebratio­ns. He is set to receive the title at his wife Mary’s family village, Faleula, joining David Lange, Jim Bolger, Len Brown, Phil Goff, John Key and Winston Peters among others to be granted an honorary title. English will meet Prime Minister Tuilaepa and discuss political and economic issues.
