New Zealand on board to tackle ag pollution at COP23
New Zealand has endorsed the Bonn Communique on ‘‘tackling air pollution to save lives and protect the environment’’. The COP23 statement focuses on ‘‘super pollutant’’ short-lived gases that cause air pollution and climate change, like methane. Endorsing it recognised the ‘‘important role’’ New Zealand played in tackling agricultural emissions, said Climate Change Minister James Shaw. It was critical to addressing climate change, he said from the COP23 conference in Germany.
