Two men have been ar­rested fol­low­ing a hit and run in­ci­dent in Twizel that left two men in hos­pi­tal. De­tec­tive Se­nior Sergeant Richard Quested, of Ti­maru, said at about

3am on Sun­day, two men aged 27 and 24 were in­jured in a hit and run in­ci­dent on Macken­zie Dr fol­low­ing an al­ter­ca­tion at a party on nearby Oma­hau Cres in Twizel. Yes­ter­day, Quested con­firmed two men had been ar­rested and charged. A 21-yearold man had been ar­rested and charged with two counts of wound­ing with in­tent to cause griev­ous bod­ily harm. A 23-year-old man was ar­rested and charged with male as­saults fe­male, as­sault with the in­tent to in­jure, and in­jur­ing with in­tent. The men will ap­pear in the Ti­maru District Court on Tues­day.
