RSA gets $250,000 in fund­ing, thanks to Ron Mark

De­fence Min­is­ter Ron Mark has se­cured a $250,000 grant for the Re­turned Ser­vices As­so­ci­a­tion (RSA). Mark said un­der the pre­vi­ous Labour-NZ First coali­tion, the RSA re­ceived base­line fund­ing of $250,000 a year but that had been scrapped un­der Na­tional. He sig­nalled the grant in Novem­ber dur­ing a speech to the RSA Na­tional Coun­cil, when he said: ‘‘I’m pretty con­fi­dent that there will be dis­cus­sions a lit­tle bit later on, which you might like the out­come of.’’
