Accept it’s not acceptable

The Press - - Perspective -

So the Ombudsman finds the assaults, bullying and intimidation in Christchurch men’s prison ‘‘unacceptable’’? How many other readers are sick of hearing of the most heinous acts being described by this namby-pamby, wishy-washy epithet? They are disgusting, disgraceful and, above all, illegal. Bad manners, slow service, cold coffee and warm beer are unacceptable. To describe the crimes listed as ‘‘unacceptable’’ is – er – unacceptable.
