Disqualified director facing charges
A disqualified company director who set up another company that racked up about $160,000 in debt has been arrested. A Press investigation in July last year revealed Bernhardt Bentinck, also known as Wayne Eaglesome, set up a tourism-related company despite being a disqualified director. After the investigation Bentinck changed his name to George Von Rothschild, and then to Alex Oliver Bergen. It is understood Bergen was arrested in Auckland on July 5 and charged by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) with making false statements in company registration documents.
