Here’s a chance to own a piece of New Zealand his­tory, com­mem­o­rate 2020 and sup­port char­ity all in one. The Ran­giora Li­ons Club, in North Can­ter­bury, is auc­tion­ing on TradeMe two framed face masks signed by Prime Min­is­ter Jacinda Ardern and direc­tor-gen­eral of health Dr Ash­ley Bloom­field. The masks fea­ture phrases com­monly ut­tered at the daily 1pm Covid-19 brief­ings: ‘‘Be kind’’ and ‘‘Kia ora koutou ka­toa’’. All pro­ceeds will go to Blind LowVi­sion NZ, formerly known as the Blind Foun­da­tion.
