Camilla’s two parties for her 70th birthday

The Southland Times - - WORLD -

BRITAIN: It was a celebration fit, if not quite for a Queen, then certainly for a Duchess.

The Duchess of Cornwall has seen in her 70th birthday in fine style, with a party for 250 friends and family members at Highgrove: her second in three days.

Thrown in her honour by the Prince of Wales, the private party saw the Royal family show their support with guests including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Contrary to initial reports that she planned just a small family gathering, the Duchess has enjoyed two celebrations this week, honoured with an official reception at Clarence House this week among the great and the good.

There, former staff and representatives of her charities wished her a happy birthday, along with celebrities with whom she has shared several charity causes.

By contrast, the Highgrove party on Saturday night, local time, was for close friends. - Telegraph Group
