NZ U21s triumph

The team’s two Silver Ferns, Maia Wilson and Kelly Jury, led the way as New Zealand fended off Australia 60-57 to secure a fourth Netball World Youth Cup title in Botswana yesterday. New Zealand created history by winning back-to-back titles for the first time, defending the crown they won in Scotland four years ago, while also adding to their triumphs from 1992 and 2005. New Zealand, who swept aside every challenger en route to the final, trailed Australia 17-14 after the first quarter and 28-27 at halftime.
