Fresh start for Ko

The holes New Zealand’s Ly­dia Ko did get in at the fi­nal women’s golf ma­jor of the sea­son yes­ter­day won’t count. Rain and strong winds forced play to be scrapped at the Evian Cham­pi­onship in France, which started afresh overnight as a 54-hole event. Ko, who was oneover through four holes when play was aban­doned, was to tee off from the 10th hole at with Cana­dian Brooke Hen­der­son and South Korean Kim In Kyung. LPGA Tour com­mis­sioner Michael Whan said what the lit­tle play was achieved yes­ter­day was wiped from the record.
