Fresh start for Ko
The holes New Zealand’s Lydia Ko did get in at the final women’s golf major of the season yesterday won’t count. Rain and strong winds forced play to be scrapped at the Evian Championship in France, which started afresh overnight as a 54-hole event. Ko, who was oneover through four holes when play was abandoned, was to tee off from the 10th hole at with Canadian Brooke Henderson and South Korean Kim In Kyung. LPGA Tour commissioner Michael Whan said what the little play was achieved yesterday was wiped from the record.
