Ko fades
Lydia Ko couldn’t mount a final round charge in Adelaide as her even-par round saw her slip down the leaderboard in the Australian Women’s Open in Adelaide. Starting the day tied for 12th, eight shots off the pace, New Zealand’s top woman golfer carded 72 in the final round of the LPGA Tour event to finish tied for 19th at three-under for the tournament. Ko had three birdies and three bogeys yesterday, which followed rounds of 68, 74 and 71 at Kooyonga Golf Club. South Korea’s Jin Young Ko looked set for a wire-to-wire victory and led compatriot Hyejin Choi by two shots late in the final round.
