The Southland Times - - News -

Robert Bruce Murray (Bruce) who farmed near Kaka Point died this month. He was well known in the south Otago area for his prizewinning cattle stock, gaining many times the top price for his Charolais steers and heifers at the annual Owaka Calf Sale held in March. ‘‘Feed them well and understock,’’ was his policy. ‘‘. . . 90 per cent of it is down to the feed down the throats.’’ To honour his achievements at this sale the family brought his body down to the Owaka saleyards for people to pay their respects on September 13. He is survived by his daughters, Bronwyn Bichan and Debs Morton.
