Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi launched a furious defence of his players following yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Scotland in a World Cup warmup match with the buildup disrupted by a match-fixing investigation. Keshi said his Brazil-bound players were not gamblers and ridiculed allegations of anything sinister. The game was threatened after Britain’s National Crime Agency was called to investigate a possible threat of match-fixing linked to illegal betting rings ahead of the game.
