It came down cats and birds over the week­end with Catz inc and the Palmer­ston North Bird Club both hav­ing shows over the week­end – and there were no ‘‘I tawt I taw a puddy-tat’’ mo­ments. Look­ing for­ever like Chep­stow and son – An­drew Phillips show man­ager for the Catz inc show in the Ter­race End School Hall with his 6-year-old Bri­tish short­hair, Chep­stow. One of the most ti­tled cats in NZ, Chep­stow didn’t en­ter the she-ow at the week­end to give some other fe­line a chance.

The award-win­ning cham­pion love­bird that can­not speak its name (it doesn’t have one) with Palmer­ston North own­ers Netti and Kevin Greig at the Palmer­ston North Bird Club show at the Com­mu­nity Leisure cen­tre.

Pussy of in­ter­est, Mr Reece, a 16 month old blue point si­amese owned by Pat Fletcher from Palmer­ston North is be­ing closely watched by Catz inc judge Debs Ar­mishaw from Welling­ton.
