The Tribune (NZ) - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE -

It has been noticeable how the Palmerston North City Council has been making greater efforts to engage and communicate with its stakeholders.

Stakeholders – that’s us, city ratepayers.

It’s not just through media, but seems to be part of a more inclusive approach, making not just councillors more accessible, but the whole council apparatus.

Anything that helps decipher the sometimes mundane business of council is welcome, especially if it helps citizens take a closer interest in how Palmerston North operates.

The council’s monthly Square Circular is inside The Tribune today. Look it over.

It provides an introduction and overview as to how our rates are spent in the interests of making Palmerston North a better place to be.
