It is that time of year again when Somerset Kindergarten brings together the Bride of the Year show for Manawatu. It has been a major fundraiser for Somerset Kindergarten since 1969 and this year the event has been targeted toward the development of the kindergarten’s inside area to be enjoyed by the many children and families of its wonderful community.

The local community has generously donated some impressive prizes for the brides, as well as an array of wonderful prizes for the audience including raffle and spot prizes on the night. A big thank you goes out to all the wonderful local businesses, without their support Somerset would not be able to stage this event for the benefit of its community.

Organisers are pleased with the response to the event with 31 brides entering this year. The brides will be dressed in all their wedding finery as they parade across the stage to the support and applause of the audience.

On the night, the kindergarten community is sure to be well represented with the presence of flower girl fairies who will open the show and welcome the audience; page boys dressed to the nines will be ready to assist the brides as well as groomsmen and bridesmaids, all of whom are there to ensure a spectacular night.

Throughout the show there will be entertainment, raffles and a couple of auctions, so be prepared to get involved in the bidding. To see your favourite bride in with a chance to win the Audience Vote title, bring along some gold coins and vote as many times as you like.

The event will once again be staged at the Regent on Broadway on Monday, September 7. Tickets can be purchased at the Regent for $25 each so get in fast as these are sure to sell out quickly. The organisers have an exciting night planned so go along and enjoy the show and see who will be crowned the 2015 Somerset Bride of the Year.
