YMCA makes holiday time fun time

The Tribune (NZ) - - THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT -

The YMCA is running some great programmes these school holidays. As New Zealand’s largest provider of out of school care services they understand the blend of activities and excitement which make it fun.

Every day gets started with a mixture of Jump Jam energy burners and ice breaker challenges. Following this the kids split into their two age groups to enjoy sports, painting, cooking and swimming activities, plus some out of town trips. There is even a chance to go on an adventure camp for a week.

Operational manager Vaughan Dennison says they have made an extra effort this year to provide a full range of activities that are fun packed and great value. ‘‘Staff always look forward to these programmes and are excited with what’s planned.’’

The YMCA is also offering an exciting week-long camp at Camp Raukawa. It is packaged at a special rate so that children aged 6-14 years can enjoy the outdoors with both water and adventure activities.

YMCA is a CYF approved provider and WINZ subsidies may be available.
