A young cast full of spark and energy are bring­ing the beloved char­ac­ters to life in Muppet May­hem.

Well-known lime­light ‘hog’Miss Piggy, want’s to be Katy Perry, obliv­i­ous to Ker­mit hav­ing a crush on the pop star.

Mean­while the chick­ens, hyp­no­tised by Gonzo, are hatch­ing a plot to take over the spot of backup dancers.

‘‘The au­di­ence will be in­vited to get up and dance to their favourite songs,’’ Damian says.

The show fea­tures the clas­sic Mup­pets song Rain­bow Con­nec­tion and pop­u­lar songs from Demi La­vato and Katy Perry, in­clud­ing the smash hit Fire­work.

The show’s cast is­mainly made up of tal­ented NCEA stu­dents from Palmer­ston North Girls’ High School with Dy­lan Irvin from The Vicar of Di­b­ley play­ing Ker­mit.
